Day 014 – Living the Wrong Life
I was watching a show on tv and heard someone say “I don’t want to live the wrong life and then die.” I thought how powerful the statement was. It forces one to deal with themselves almost like looking in the mirror and really analyzing self. I wondered how any of us knows if we are living the right or wrong life. I’m willing to bet that we can all feel when something is off. I remember sitting in my car in the parking deck at my old office. Every single day before work, sitting there trying to encourage and motivate myself to get out and go in to start my day. In those moments I did realize that I was living the wrong life. Like most people there isn’t an option to simply quit and start over. We have to gradually work towards where we want to be. So I work daily at doing the things to add meaning and value to my path. I do not take contracts or positions simply “for the money”. I make sure they can add value to my life. I like to think that from this point on I make sure that I am living the life that feels right for me.
