DAY 108 – Finding Inner Passion
Galileo is quoted as saying, “You cannot teach a person anything, you can only help them to find it within themselves.” It is such a natural urge to almost try and force others to learn things the way we were taught. We also want others to love the things they have learned from us, however that is not always realistic. Until a person truly wants a thing for themselves, it will not be their personal priority to make the adjustments. That is not to say that we should stop teaching, only that we should not always expect others to immediately master their learning. I’ve learned to give people the space and time to tap into their inner passion for what it is that they are learning. I also must be willing to accept when they discover their passion, even if it’s not what I imagined for them. Passion and purpose are journeys of self.
