2025 Week 13 – The Untamed Creative Force Within Our Family
Like any family, we have our differences. But there's a powerful, unifying truth we constantly return to: no one is coming to save us but ourselves. This isn't a cynical statement, but a deeply ingrained understanding born from our parents' journey out of poverty, fueled by hard work and unwavering faith. We witnessed their strength navigating a world that wasn't always welcoming, carving a path for those who looked like us.
That resilience is now the bedrock of our adult lives. We boldly forge our own paths through the daily noise and negativity, learning from each other and a few trusted mentors. We're not content with the traditional 9-to-5; each of us has cultivated independent brands that generate our own revenue. From 8 Robinsons Brand Management and 8 Robinsons TV to Uncle Art Camp and ATR Fine Art, our diverse ventures are a testament to our entrepreneurial spirit.
When denied access to existing platforms, we built our own. We curated our own art shows, recognizing the power of self-determination. We pursued higher education, not as a golden ticket, but as a means to deepen our knowledge and control our own destinies. We fundamentally believe that our fate lies in our own hands.
Why waste energy on what we can't control? Instead, we channel our focus into the vast potential within and around us. This proactive approach has gradually painted our lives with increasing beauty.
I call us "Untamed Creative Beings" because we refuse to be confined. Our creativity springs from the deepest questions within us, unfiltered and authentic. Whatever our souls stir, we present to the world. This spirit of self-reliance and bold creation is a legacy I've learned firsthand from my oldest brother, Navy/Seabee veteran Angelo T.
