016 We Never Save Ourselves, We Save Each Other
Week 16 of 2024 My criticisms of my community will never outweigh my contributions to my community. In this way I aim to always be a part of the solution and never the problem, and there are many problems in my community. Rather than focus on all those things that are going wrong, I choose to help in those areas that are steadily improving. Primarily anything involving STEAM programs for the youth. I love positively impacting our youth. I love following their journeys into adulthood. The impact of those things we expose them to travel with them throughout their lives and in turn, they have similar impacts on those around them. The same way, so many things were given to me growing up that allowed me escape from the traps in my community. Each one truly does teach one. As the saying goes, we never save ourselves, we save each other.
