My youth football and soccer coach was the perfect example of what it means to be available and consistent. Despite having his own family, he always made time for me and my brothers. Week after week, for years, he’d pick us up for practices and games, then drive us back home. His wife would often help too, ensuring we had snacks and drinks, and sometimes giving us a ride. Because of their dedication, our lives took a very different path compared to others we grew up with.

Week 22 of 2024 This week we discussed our best ability being our availability. I noticed two key opportunities to assist others and did not take action this week. I was available, but I kept moving forward. I decided that I would try harder to recognize moments that gave space for me to be available to not just myself, but to others.

Week 21 of 2024 Being underestimated in the workplace is common. I’ve had employees who were accepted as average role players on teams, but I would notice them being rockstars in life. They would run successful crowdfunding campaigns and complete awesome projects outside of work.

Week 20 of 2024 Living a purpose driven life pushes me forward even during the toughest of times. I spent years in corporate America being taught “big picture” thinking. As a leader in my family and community, I am always considering big picture when making decisions. I’ve learned that my purpose is directly linked to the bigger picture.

Week 18 0f 2024 There are times when there are no words to say. Only thoughts and feelings. Both things that are not meant to be verbalized in the moment. I’m learning to hold these moments as sacred. They are so valuable in the building of character and perseverance. One word that I have always hated was “shutup”. Lol!
