2025 Week 01 – Remembering Granddaddy Elder Emmitt Robinson, Sr.

My granddaddy was a pastor. Before he transitioned, I promised him that I would convert his old sermons into digital media. It has taken me well over 10years to actually start the process, and it just so happens to be the first day of 2025. He once told me that his secret to success was always showing up. I watched him and my dad show up for their churches and jobs consistently. I get my work ethic from these strong men of God, both with troubled pasts. From them I continue to affirm that my greatest skill is my availability. He also told me that if I wanted to be rich, I only had to stop giving my money away. I haven’t done so well at that. If I’m not helping a family member or a friend, I’m buying plants or shopping on TEMU. What a great way to bring in the new year though! Guided by my ancestors. There is so much wisdom in grandaddy’s sermons. I can’t wait to share them on 8robinsons.tv!
