Work-life balance has been a trending topic for years, yet for most of my career, I struggled to find it. Looking back at photos like this one from 2019, I’m reminded of why it’s so important to make time for the people we love—away from work, away from the daily grind.

I wasn’t the star athlete like my brothers—there’s the defensive back, the running back, the quarterback… and then there was me. My talent wasn’t in sports; it was in art. But sports gave me something priceless: a way out of the house, a sense of belonging, and the discipline to push through challenges. The conditioning gave me strength I never knew I had, and the struggle taught me resilience.

2025 Week 07 – Growing Up Can Be Hard

Coming of age is one of the most difficult things in life that we all must face. As a youth, I remember feeling so small, like I didn’t matter and like no one cared about me. And there was never enough money. Even with early jobs and side hustles as a kid, the money seemed to never be enough. I struggled to fit in and eventually gave up and withdrew to my own isolated world.

2025 Week 03 – Seeing is Believing

I have a vision board in my mind. It follows me daily and collects dreams and desires as I travel through life. We taught the kids to dream one summer at @uncleArtCamp and had them make their physical vision boards. Watching them sort through their hopes and aspirations inspired me.
