Day 019 - What Do You Deserve?
I have seen enough solar returns to have learned some key lessons in life. I’ve heard so many quotes about what we deserve. The most popular was “You don’t get what you deserve, you get what you earn.” Growing up my mom would tell us “You get what you get, and you don’t pitch a fit.” Maybe she understood that although some people worked super hard, they would still maybe not get what they deserved. As kids we were told and taught that “Life isn’t fair.” So, I grew up knowing that the odds would be stacked against me. I have no issue with difficult environments and challenging times and what works for some may not work for all. What works for me every single time is “You don’t get what you deserve, you get what YOU create.” I choose to use every fiber of my being to create. I create brands. I create business processes to support those brands. I create customer success stories. I create art, music, and merchandise to highlight the brands and then I repeat the process. So that even in the most challenging times, I can still smile as I look around at all those things created. I SOMETIMES get what I deserve, but I ALWAYS get what I create.
