DAY 030 – Where I’m Headed
There have been several situations in my life that have caused me to pivot and take an entirely different direction. At the time I was angry and rebellious even. I would even fight for what I felt was my right to stay exactly where I was. Fast forward years later and I can see how every change has led to me being where I am now, owning and operating a digital TV network with my family. I’ve learned that if you never change direction, you may end up where you are headed. So, it is necessary for us to pivot often in our life. I hear so many of the elders from my community say they could have been dead or in jail and as sad as it sounds, it was their reality. I don’t think I would have been dead or in jail, but I do know that I would have never gone to college and would more than likely been stuck working an unfulfilling job squandering my artistic talents. I would still be in bad relationships feeling like I need to find myself. I’m thankful that I have been able to pivot and change direction when needed in my life.
