DAY 031 – Do Great Things Now
I grew up hearing that I should never put off for tomorrow what I could take care of today. As I got older and had kids, started businesses, and gained more responsibilities at work, it got easier to miss steps and let task stack up. I started to make physical list so that I could check off things as they are done. I tried apps and electronic list, but they never had the same effect as physically writing on a piece of paper. If you do the great things when they are small, difficult things are made easy. Something as simple as washing dishes takes just a few minutes right after a meal. But let hours and days go by and the cups and silverware accumulate and before you know it you are having to deep clean the whole kitchen. Something as simple as sending an email to ask a question can quickly become a need to schedule a conference room or zoom call to get key decision makers in a room at the same time to answer what has now become a critical last minute decision. Do the small things while they are easy to accomplish.
