DAY 074 - There is Joy in the Journey
When working on any project in the past, I’m excited at the beginning with all new possibilities. Then it seems that the entire process is filled with stress and worry. Once the project is complete everyone is happy, and a celebration follows. I have learned to enjoy the process. I’ve found joy in the journey. Every single issue becomes an opportunity. These are the moments where I learn new things and even my confidence grows. All the good bits take place during the journey. When a thing is done, it is over. I’ve had some great relationships with people. Whether personal or professional, there comes a day when we must move on. Then a resistance to change kicks in and it almost feels like human instinct to fight for things to stay the same. Now I accept the change. I smile at the memories made (good and bad). I reflect on the lessons learned and still find joy in the journey. I’m a better man today for it all.
