DAY 085 – Business is made for the mornings
One of my pet peeves is having my time wasted. My brothers and I often speak of how we get our work done in the early morning hours and often before lunch. This was embedded in us by our father and mother who would wake early 7 days a week. If there was nothing to clean or no where to go, we still got up and got ready for the day. We learned to appreciate having our afternoons free to play and do the things we loved doing. Fast forward a few decades and we still get up early. I tell my people that business is made for the mornings. When your thoughts and energy are vibrant and all the offices you need to contact are open. Sometimes we lose the sense of “business hours” and imagine that everyone works on a revolving clock. I protect my peace as much as possible now and late request will get pushed to the next day unless there is an important AND urgent matter. While the world sleeps, the successful man is up plotting his day, working out or meditating to prepare mentally for the day. He knows his tasks well and will complete as many as possible before the workday is done. Business is made for the mornings is just a reminder to wake up and get going. Don’t put off for tomorrow, things that can be done today.
