DAY 092 – Life is Challenging
Let’s just start by saying that life is challenging. We are often faced with difficult situations and emergencies that require 100% of our energy and efforts. In those moments, we either focus or fold. I’ve always been a calm natured person. I remember a time when my family ran to get me, and I found my youngest son with his finger bleeding and stuck in a bicycle tire. I’m not sure how long they were crying and panicking around him. So, he was naturally scared. I simply walked over and told him that everything was cool, and I would help him. While I was talking, I had lifted the wheel off the ground (it did hurt briefly for him) and turned it backwards just enough for him to pull his finger out. Crisis averted. I always choose to focus over folding. I’ve been called unemotional, disengaged, and a host of other terms used to describe those of us who are not easily excited. I assure you that I am one of the most focused people in the room.
