Day 093 – Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder
Political activist Francois de La Rochefoucauld is quoted as saying “Absence diminishes mediocre passions and increases great ones...” and I find this to be mostly true. When we lose access to the things or the people we love, we either let go or we fight with everything in our being to hold on. We have to decide if we should move on or stay until we can reunite or resume once time permits. I’ve always been a true artist that can draw and paint across mediums. This is one area where my passion only increases the longer I am away from it. I hear my father telling me that if you don’t use your gift, then God will give it to the next person. This motivates me to keep a pencil and paper nearby. I always got a watercolor set somewhere close by. We are making preparations now to foster and grow an artist community.
