DAY 104 – The Ugly Way
Experience has taught me that sometimes the right way is the ugly way. Sometimes it is the hard, unpaved, gritty, dark, 60hr work week path that is needed to reach a goal. A path where the normal processes don’t work and the typical analytics can’t measure well enough. What job or school teaches you to operate on feeling and instinct? They don’t. Everything seems based on numbers and data which is more than often manipulated to fit a narrative and tell the desired story. In this digital age, there are no shortcuts. Every week presents a new challenge. We have to be willing to roll up our sleeves and figure things out in ways that are not always so typical.
