DAY 115 – Through our pain, they see their injustices.
How long must we give them our pain? Our communities are underdeveloped. Our kids are being hunted in schools. Our neighborhoods are flooded with drugs and guns while the world mocks the self-destructive outcomes, as if another outcome should be expected under the same circumstances. I’ve watched families lose 6 figure homes to 4 figure property tax liens. On a larger scale, the entire world watches the pain of Ukrainians, Sudanese and others in warring countries. I am sure they see their injustices. Until something is done, we remain the reflections in the mirrors of those that harm us. What most don’t understand, until they are personally impacted, is that “we” includes much more than poor minorities. The “we” is any class, group, race, or individual that lacks the ability to disassemble and rebuild any system that purposely causes our pain.
