DAY 097 – Pressure Bursts Pipes or Makes Diamonds
In my line of work there are constant deadlines, milestones, and key metrics that must be met. The projects exist across multiple industries and channels that do not necessarily intersect. There could be 8 projects from 8 different customers with 8 different target audiences to reach. The pressure of working to keep everyone happy with their progress and results is heavy. For just over 7 years, I’ve been a single father and believe me it’s just as hard for us men. I have two young men (one living on his own now and one in high school.)
DAY 096 – Charity is Like a Good Seed
Charity works at its best when it helps the receiver to become independent of it. I love helping others to help themselves. I do know that there does come a time that charity must stop. There is a difference between feeling helpful and feeling used.

Those of us that dream have been given a gift. That gift magnifies when we wake up and complete any amount of work towards that dream. When we focus on our dreams, they become inevitable. Day 094 – Work Ethic
Be willing to do today what others won’t do, so you can be able to do tomorrow what others can’t do. For this reason, I accept challenges. I’ve always walked the difficult path. The young kids call it “getting it out the mud”. I don’t think it is that I choose difficult paths. There are no easy paths.
Day 093 – Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder
Political activist Francois de La Rochefoucauld is quoted as saying “Absence diminishes mediocre passions and increases great ones...” and I find this to be mostly true. When we lose access to the things or the people we love, we either let go or we fight with everything in our being to hold on. We have to decide if we should move on or stay until we can reunite or resume once time permits.
